Vista’s Children and Young People visit Social Climbing
6 Mar 2022
Today we went back to Social Climbing to do a bit of bouldering! In this activity all our Children and Young People took some positive risks! This was a challenging activity mentally and physically. Bouldering is like rock climbing but is climbing unaided. Everyone who participated showed they were able to think independently as they choose which walls they wanted to climb and how far they felt comfortable going. We also had some healthy competition at this session as some children and young people raced up the walls. All our children and young people really pushed then boundaries and accomplished numerous outcomes during this activity.
When asked if their child/young person enjoyed this activity a parent/carer replied “Yes. Allows Child A to try a new activity that he would not normally do in a safe environment where he is not judged and is allowed to participate.
