Today we visited the Van Gogh Immersive Experience! We had families attend this morning session! This was a great activity where the children and their families could explore and learn about Van Gogh and the art he created. As part of this immersive experience there was a set of one of his paintings. This was great as it made part of the activity tactile and enabled the children to explore the painting through touching the set. The next part of the activity was a room where Van Gogh's artwork was projected on the walls, floors, and ceilings. This was an amazing sensory experience where the children could sit and relax whilst being immersed in artwork. We then moved onto the next room where the children could create their own masterpieces through drawing and colour. Once the children had finished, we were able to display their artwork on a big screen which really showed how proud each child was of what they had created! Some of Vista's Children and Young People also had a go at virtual reality, they said this was an amazing experience to feel inside a painting!
