We had our first Young People's forum tonight! It was a massive success, and it was great to see some many young people attend. All the young people who attended had some really interesting thoughts and opinions. These thoughts really sparked some thought-provoking conversations. It was great to gain an understanding of how our young people feel, and how they would like to use this young people’s forum to give them a louder voice.

We spoke about what a forum is and the roles and responsibilities that comes with being involved in a forum. After we all understand the roles, each young person gave a pitch as to why they think they are most suited for the role. Each child made some really good points. The young people where then given a voting slip to anonymously vote who they would like to be the chairperson and the timekeeper. The results came in with a joint chairperson and timekeeper. After another vote our young people elected Mo to be their chairperson and Lydia to be our timekeeper. We also have Mathew as our deputy chairperson.
