Summer 24 Reflection
We have had a glorious summer with lots of you joining in with our CYP activities. In total we ran 17 activities over five weeks, giving our Vista CYP and their families some wonderful new opportunities and experiences. We stayed local and explored what Leicester has to offer.
What did we do?
We started with climbing 4-meter walls at Social Climbing,
At Vista Head office there were cakes in mugs cooked and eaten.
We met and fed the animals at the Gorse Hill farm.
We sang with Kyle Newman and conquered tongue twisters, then join the Memory Music Box at Oadby library for a good old summer sing song.
With Leicester City FC in the Community played football and scored plenty of goals.
We re-discovered and explored the sensory room at Simmins Crescent.
We met the Lion Inside at Curve theatre.
We made a joyful noise at Vista Head office with David 'Stickman' Higgins with a room full of drumming and singing
Then we explored the Leicester botanical gardens, creating our own amazing clay sculptures
Finally, we had a grand day out at Leicester Outdoor Pursuits where we climbed, abseiled, made fires, built dens, rowed boats, and then ended with a big splash into the river!
Throughout all these event we share time together and made new memories.
Thanks to all who joined us!
