Vista's Children and Young People go trampolining!
24 Jul 2022
Today’s activity involved lots of bouncing! We invited some of our children, young people, and their carers to join us at Boost trampoline park. Every Sunday morning Boost runs a sensory session, this worked well for our children and young people as it is a calmer atmosphere with natural lighting and no music. Having this adapted environment meant our children and young people could explore the venue whilst feeling supported and at ease. We did lots of bouncing and showed each other our best tricks, some of us also jumped into the foam pit! At this session we also had one of our peer mentors join us. Our peer mentors are great at engaging with the younger children.
At the end of the session one parent/carer said “A great session – all inclusive. We’ve never been because we thought it would be too much but there was no pressure and no expectations. Thank you, Vista.”
Another parent/carer commented “Lots of fun, great to try something we have not done before in what feels like a safe setting with people who understand. Thank you!”
