Vista's Children and Young People visit Wigston Police Station
1 Jun 2022
On Wednesday 1st of June some of our Children and Young People and their families joined us at the Wigston Police Station. We were all very eager to explore different police cars, vehicles, and equipment. A few policemen and women greeted us at the station and then showed us round the back of the station where there were five police vehicles parked! This was very exciting as our Children and Young People were able to go in the vehicles, switch on the sirens and lights! The policemen and women showed us how the cars worked and what equipment is in each vehicle! The policemen and women welcomed questions and were happy to talk about their roles with everyone at the visit! We even got to sit in the cage in the back of the largest van! At the visit there were also clothing and equipment the children could try on! Some of the jackets and hats were very heavy!
One parent/carer said “Thanks Rebecca Tatman for a lovely evening, loved meeting new people. Thank you. Honestly was lovely. Thank you for adding me to the group.”
Another parent/carer said, “Thanks again for a lovely time Vista.”
